The West Georgia Technology Fair is a competition for students in the West Georgia Region of the Georgia Educational Technology Fair (GaETF). The West Georgia Region includes pubic schools in Carroll County, Carrollton City, Coweta County, Harris County, Heard County, Meriwether County, and Troup County. Also included are any students in private schools and home-school students in the same counties. We will consider accepting entries from other counties in Georgia with approval from the regional director provided the space is available to accept the additional entries.

The West Georgia Technology Fair will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at:

Please have only one person per school to complete the registration form.

REGISTRATION FORM

This form is designed to allow you to enter data on the form, print a copy for your records, and email a copy to the tech fair.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, January 20, 2010.

All participants need to complete a Student Consent Form in order to participate. Also, each project needs to have a Project Submission Form completed to give the judges at the competition time.

Please do not contact the Performing Arts Centre except for directions only. The Performing Arts Centre only serves as the host of the Technology Fair.

Lunch will not be provided at the Technology Fair. There are several restaurants in the area or you may choose to bring a sack lunch.

Snack foods will not be provided by the Technology Fair. Please make arrangements for any snack foods you may desire.

The competition room is a restricted access area. Only one adult may assist the student to set up in the competition room during the allotted time prior to the actual judging. Once the judges begin, only the students being judged may be in the room with the judges. Failure to comply may result in disqualification of the project from competiton.

A gathering area will be available in the main exhibit hall. Please use this area while waiting before and after judging. Please do not gather in the hallway outside the competition room.
