The Heard County Speech & Language Department offers a variety of services and programs. |

Service List |
|
Language skills are the basis for academic success. Speech Pathologists work to provide prevention as well as intervention for children ages 3— 21. Areas addressed include vocabulary, grammar, social skills, oral expression, listening comprehension, and phonological awareness. |

Language |
|
Evaluation and therapy services for sound errors are provided for children ages 3—21. Areas addressed include articulation, phonological processes, oral motor deficits, and apraxia of speech. |

Articulation & Phonology |
|
Disorders of fluency are commonly known as stuttering. Evaluation and therapy services for fluency disorders are provided for children ages 3—21. |

Fluency |
|
A doctor’s recommendation is required for voice therapy services. Upon receipt of recommendation, evaluation and services are provided for children ages 3—21.
